Dominican Republic: A Curated Guide to Experiencing Casa de Campo

For guests arriving via Casa de Campo’s private marina, you will immediately feel as if you have been transported to a Mediterranean port. Lined with boutiques, art galleries, and waterfront dining, all of which exude an air of unhurried luxury. The marina of course has a practical purpose, moorings accommodate vessels up to 250 feet, with discreet services that extend from provisioning to security. From here, the estate opens itself entirely to you.

For many, the day begins on the fairways. Teeth of the Dog, Pete Dye’s oceanfront masterpiece, is as beautiful as it is challenging, its holes carved dramatically along the cliff face. Yet for Casa de Campo’s clientele, the privilege lies in privacy: tee times arranged so that the course feels yours alone and lessons delivered by resident PGA professionals. The pattern remains uninterrupted across Dye Fore and The Links, each course introducing a new landscape and challenge. For the true collector of global golf experiences, Casa de Campo offers a rare trifecta, three courses, each distinct, yet unified by the promise of exclusivity.

Golf may define the essence of the estate, but it is only one expression of a broader sporting lifestyle. Mornings bloom in quiet leisure with private guides leading tailored rides through Casa de Campo’s ranches, where trails pass water buffalo herds, lakes alive with native fauna, and fields of sugar cane. Both equestrian and polo pursuits are overseen by Argentine professional Fernando Arata, ensuring each experience meets the highest standard of the sport. Afternoons may unfold at the shooting center, where more than 200 stations challenge even the most seasoned marksmen. Evenings may conclude at the Racquet Centre, with over 25 professionals on staff and a legacy of hosting prestigious tournaments, guests can enjoy private lessons or competitive play at the highest standard.

What defines sport at Casa de Campo is not variety alone, but the way it conforms to your personal pace. Each pursuit is delivered at a professional standard, yet entirely configured to how you wish to spend your hours.

After exertion, the estate shifts into indulgence. At the Minitas Beach Club, an array of seafood and vintage wines arrive in private cabanas as the Caribbean horizon stretches ahead. Dining unfolds as you wish: refined at La Caña, cosmopolitan at SBG, or entirely private. Chefs collaborate to curate menus that move from villa gardens to marina promenades, from culinary delights to Dominican rum-and-cigar pairings. At Casa de Campo, dining is not simply a reservation but an opportunity to savor, discover, and connect.

Where other resorts speak of wellness in vague terms, Casa de Campo approaches restoration with deep thought. Post-game or post-adventure, in-residence therapists deliver treatments: IV infusions, hydrotherapy circuits and deep-tissue massages calibrated to maintain performance. For more contemplative moments, cliffside terraces become private sanctuaries for yoga or meditation as the sun dissolves into the sea. This is revitalisation stripped of passing trends, designed instead around the demands of high-performance living.

A cultural interlude at Altos de Chavón entices guests to enjoy the spectacle that is a 16th-century Mediterranean-style village overlooking the Chavón River. Its cobblestone streets and amphitheater once welcomed Sinatra and Elton John; today, they serve as settings for artisan-led tours, intimate concerts, or private dinners staged beneath stone arches.

Inside the gates of Casa de Campo awaits more than luxury, it is a world meticulously crafted to anticipate every desire, where every day flows between adventure, indulgence, and relaxation. The estate’s grandeur becomes personal, presenting a rare freedom to roam, reveal and explore on your own terms. Every stay here is not only something you remember but it is an experience that stays with you long after you leave.

Casa de Campo is a 7,000 acre privately gated paradise with unmatched amenities, activities, arts & history, and culinary experiences to enjoy.
