That breadth is exactly what's allowed Kensington to create something new this year. Monaco was chosen deliberately as the stage to announce Kensington Private Client — a natural next step for a business already spanning so many strands of a client's life.
"This is an evolution of our client journey experience that came from yachting."
The idea took shape around a simple gap Sgovio and her team kept noticing: clients wanted a single point of contact who genuinely understood every part of their world, rather than separate relationships across yachts, property, travel and everyday concierge needs.
"We really wanted to create an ecosystem, a go-to person... that's where Private Client was born."
The membership concierge space is far from empty, and Sgovio is direct about what sets this apart from the established names.
"What makes us truly different is we have the speciality and expertise in-house... there's no middle man, everything is fully controlled and available."
That shift reflects something Kensington's own travel data is picking up more broadly — a move away from conventional markers of luxury toward something harder to quantify but more personally meaningful.
Expeditions are where that philosophy shows most clearly. Rather than offering a menu of set itineraries, each journey is built entirely around the client in front of them.
"With expeditions we're creating something very unique... everything is fully bespoke. There is no trip we have done twice."
That access-led approach extends to Kensington Lux's new role as Official Luxury Travel Partner for 1970, the Superyacht Rendezvous at Casa de Campo this December — a destination Sgovio is clearly enthusiastic about.
"It's a beautiful property [Casa de Campo]."
For a membership built around clients who can already access almost anything, the real differentiator isn't availability — it's originality. Kensington Private Client's bet is that the harder a place is to reach, and the more bespoke the journey getting there, the more it will matter to the people it's designed for.
